UAE Announces Holidays for Eid Al Fitr 2025

mars 19, 2025 - 09:22

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr holidays for private sector employees in 2025. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) declared that private sector workers will enjoy paid holidays from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

The exact dates of Eid Al Fitr are contingent upon the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the end of Ramadan. If Ramadan concludes after 29 days, Eid will commence on Sunday, March 30, resulting in a three-day holiday from March 30 to April 1. However, if the moon is not sighted on March 29, Ramadan will extend to 30 days, and Eid will begin on Monday, March 31. In this scenario, the holiday will be extended to Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

This announcement aligns with the UAE's commitment to providing equal holiday entitlements to both public and private sector employees, fostering a balanced work-life environment across the nation.
