His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai announced a Dh3-billion fund to support and boost the space sector.
The funds will be used to develop a range of satellites called the ‘Sirb’.
The satellites will be capable of producing highly detailed and complex radar 'images' of territory usages, ice sheets, surface changes, and characterization, with various scientific, civil, and commercial applications.
