Remote Working and Learning In The UAE Extended Till 19th April

Due to adverse weather conditions impacting the Emirates, the UAE government has decided to prolong remote work arrangements for its employees nationwide until Friday, April 19, 2024. This extension encompasses all personnel except those mandated to work onsite. This decision reflects the UAE's consideration of the circumstances arising from the recent unstable weather conditions. Since Tuesday, government offices have seamlessly transitioned to remote operations, with only essential sectors maintaining onsite presence.

Similarly, Dubai has extended distance learning until the end of the week, with all private schools, nurseries, and universities required to continue online classes through Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19. This aligns with a similar directive from the Emirates School Education Foundation for government schools nationwide. The aim is to ensure the safety and security of students and staff before returning to in-person classes. Additionally, Sharjah and other emirates have also extended distance learning for private schools until the end of their respective four-day weeks, prioritizing student safety. Moreover, the UAE government urges private sector entities to adopt flexible remote work policies during this period, prioritizing the safety and well-being of their employees.
